CARLISLE — The Carlisle Wildcats sent a definitive message to the rest of Class 4A on Friday night, storming into the quarterfinals with a dominant 44-15 victory over the ADM Tigers.
With the decisive opening-round win, the undefeated Wildcats improved to 10-0 on the season and proved exactly why their unique, punishing ground game makes them one of the most dangerous teams in the state.
From the opening kickoff at Carlisle High School Stadium, the Wildcats set a physical tone. Carlisle’s signature split-back option offense operated with precision, keeping the Tigers’ defense off-balance and establishing total control of the line of scrimmage. ADM entered the matchup hoping to disrupt the Wildcats’ rhythm, but Carlisle’s execution quickly erased any hopes of an upset.
Defensively, Carlisle was just as impressive. They swarmed the Tigers’ primary playmakers, forcing critical stops and turning those defensive wins into quick, efficient points on the other side of the ball. By the time ADM managed to find the end zone, the Wildcats had already built a commanding cushion, putting the game well out of reach before the final whistle.
The victory brings an end to ADM’s season at 6-4, while Carlisle looks ahead to the next step of their championship pursuit.
The road to the Dome continues next week. The Wildcats will return to their home turf on Friday, November 6, to host the Pella Dutch in a highly anticipated quarterfinal showdown. If Friday night was any indication, Carlisle is peaking at the exact right time.
