ST. AMANT, LA — The St. Amant Gators didn’t just win on Thursday night; they made a statement. Under the lights at The Pit, St. Amant put together a flawless, masterclass performance, dismantling the Liberty Magnet Patriots 60-0 to move to 2-0on the young 2026 season.

From the opening kickoff, it was clear that the Gators were firing on all cylinders. The offense executed with clinical precision, finding the end zone seemingly at will, while the defense put on a clinic of its own. St. Amant’s defensive front swarmed the Patriots’ backfield all night, suffocating any attempt at a run game and forcing multiple turnovers that turned into quick points.

By the time the halftime whistle blew, the game was already well out of reach, allowing the Gators to showcase their depth in the second half.

“We wanted to come out tonight and establish our identity early,” St. Amant head coach said following the blowout. “The boys executed the game plan perfectly on both sides of the ball. Keeping a team out of the end zone entirely is tough to do, so I’m incredibly proud of our defensive effort tonight.”

With the dominant victory, St. Amant carries massive momentum forward as they look to keep their perfect record alive. Meanwhile, Liberty Magnet falls to 0-2 and will head back to the drawing board to fix the execution errors before their next matchup.

If this performance was any indication, the Gators are going to be a dangerous matchup for anyone on their schedule this year.
